Welcome to Year 6!
We would like to congratulate our Year 6 pupils on their absolutely fantastic SATs (marshmallow) results. The children were presented with the outcome of their hard work and commitment last week. All subjects were above National Averages and we were especially pleased with our excellent maths results following the implementation of our new interventions thanks to Mr Swales and Mrs Birch. The introduction of the Assertive Mentoring "Grammar Hammer" and inference reading interventions, by Mr Halliwell, also helped us to make fantastic progress regarding our reading and GPAS (Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling).
Thank you to parents and staff for supporting each and every one of them throughout their time in Year 6, culminating in some very good grades.
Well Done!
