"Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Year 6 is an important period in your child's life. It is full of excitement and challenge that helps to prepare the children for their life ahead. Because of this, I encourage an ‘open door’ policy for you to pop in and have a chat, or discuss your child’s progress. However, due to current circumstances if you wish to speak to me please contact me through Class Dojo or ring the school office so we can arrange a convenient time.
The Lord replied, "My precious child,
I love you and would never leave you.
During times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints
in the sand it was then that I carried you."
Independence is key in Year 6. Your children should be able to organise themselves with homework, letters, PE Kit etc as they are preparing to move onto high school. However, your support would be appreciated in making sure they have the correct kit and homework on the correct day.
"There are no mistakes in life, only lessons. There is no such thing as a negative experience, only opportunities to grow, learn and advance along the road of self-mastery." - Robin Sharma
Homework will be set digitally using our Purple Mash resource. To access this children will need to follow the link below and use the log in details they have received in class. If you have any issues accessing this please used Class Dojo to contact me.
Remote Learning Resources
During this challenging time, while there is the need for learning to continue at home, we will be planning lessons for children using a range of resources. Therefore, below are three websites that will be used for activities and lessons so that children can continue to learn and develop in confidence following the curriculum. Please click on the images to go directly to the Year 6 resources.
If you have any questions or require information please contact me (Mr Sergeant) via Class Dojo.
