It is with great pleasure that I can say that St Cuthbert’s is an Outstanding School. On the 4th and 5th of April we had a rigorous two day inspection of Leadership and Management, Teaching and Learning, Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare, our Early Year’s Provision, Safeguarding and every other aspect of school life.
The reports states:
“Staff are very knowledge and highly creative in their approach. They craft learning so that it engages all pupils, whatever their starting point, and deepens knowledge through active participation.”
Inspectors could see how much the school has improved since the last inspection:
“Leaders and Governors know this school very well. They are passionate about the care, welfare and education of every pupil who attends the school. They have brought about many significant improvements to the quality of teaching, learning and assessment since the last inspection.”
This outstanding report is a real tribute to the whole school team including parents and the wider school community. To me, this is incredibly special because the children are always well behaved and genuinely happy in school.
It is a real privilege for me to lead St Cuthbert’s and just because we are now an outstanding provider does not mean that we will relax. There is a real determination amongst all the staff and the children to continually improve and strive towards the next goal. The world of education is constantly changing and we will as always embrace this and do our very best for everyone.
I hope you enjoy reading the report, which is available under the Key Information tab, as much I did and I would like to say a massive thank you to you all for your continued support.
