Our Day at the Farm...
Today (Wednesday 25th April) we went to Gazegill Farm near Clitheroe, we saw lots of animals and learnt about the daily running of the farm. We went on a bug hunt and searched for mini beast around the farm. We had a fantastic day!

This week in phonics Miss Todd's group have been learning to make cvc words with the 'sh' and 'ch' digraph.
This week we have enjoyed spending more time in our new outdoor learning space.
The children have enjoyed taking pictures of themselves and each other using the IPads.
The children have made doubles using wooden shapes. They then used the IPads to take pictures of their work.
We went onto the school field to enjoy the snow. We made snow angels, ran up and down the hill, threw snowballs and had lots of fun.
Crime Day in Early Years.
The children came to school to find a big mystery in the infant playground. We phoned PC Nebil to help us investigate. We have written a report to help solve the mystery. Miss Todd was one of the prime suspects at first, but once we investigated furthur we found the real culprit....Mrs Robertshaw!!!! Mrs Robertshaw explained what really happened and the children helped to fix the problem.
Chinese New Year 2018
We performed a short assembly for the whole school and our families.
We then had a stay and play session, so our grown ups could join in with Chinese New Year activities.
This week the children have used a QR codes on the IPads to find hidden words and numicon pictures around our classroom.
Can Do Music
We had a very cheeky visitor over the weekend. Ask your children all about it!!
Olaf set us a challenge to find all the hidden numbers around the classroom. We managed to find them all independently.
Olaf had frozen all our toys, we had to wait a long time for the ice to melt.
This week we have been reading Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper. We made our very own pumpkin soup, it was delicious.
The children have worked really hard to make words using magnetic letters.
Jaydn has built a campfire using natural resources.

On Wednesday we met Cuthbert Bear. We introduced ourselves to him and told him our name and age. We talked about Cuthbert's Code and how to be kind to others.
Ask your child all about our special visitor.
Today we used the rhythm sticks to make different sounds and noises. We focused on taking turns, following instructions and sharing.
