As a reward for winning the reading race last half term, all the children got an ice cream or am ice lolly from the ice cream van.
This week we have been learning about minibeast and their habitats. We went on a bug hunt around school; we looked on the field, in the swamp and in our garden area. We found lots of different bugs.

This week we have been thinking of different ways to travel to and from France. We made a model using various construction resources. We thought of some fantastic ideas, from jet planes to submarines. Ask a member of staff if you would like to look at your child's writing.

Our topic is People Who Help Us, last week we had a special visit from PC Nebil after the children discovered that the classroom had been left in a mess over the weekend. The children looked for clues to discover who had made the mess and why they had done it. As a result of this the children have been thinking about the importance of keeping our classroom tidy and looking after our resources.
Chalk Writing
(Practicing our gross motor skills)
Making shapes in PE with Mr Ellison
We used different parts of our body to help each other balance and make shapes.
(We made long shapes, tall shapes, small shapes and wide shapes).
In Reception Class the children have been busy making delicious bread.
The children took turns to weigh the ingredients and put them in the bread maker. It took 3 hours for the bread to cook. We all enjoyed tasting our yummy bread with jam and butter.
Next week we will be trying brown bread.
