OUR PLANET AND ITS PEOPLE:  THINKING GLOBALLY

This term, our Collective Worship themes are based around global issues and how they link or compare to our everyday life.  Each week has a theme and explores issues from different countries around the world.

Monday 24th April 2017

WATER:

India, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Zambia

  • To reflect on the global issue and basic human right of clean water.
  • To develop an understanding of children’s lives in less developed countries.
  • To think about natural resources and our responsibilities to protect and preserve them.
  • To learn about the significance of water for baptism.

FOOD:

  • To reflect on the need to share food around the world.
  • To consider how offering something small can make a big difference and how this is shown in the Bible.
  • To understand the impact of hunger and to reflect on wastefulness.
