We have started reading Superworm by Julia Donaldson. So far we have learnt new signs for the main characters, made our own worms and investigated the bug sensory tub. Keep an eye open for that evil Wizard Lizard!
We made poppys for Remembrance day using apple printing and finger paiting.
During English lessons, we have been practising letter recognition and formation, using glass gems on large letters, creating letter shapes in peg boards and writing letters in foam!
In Maths we like to do lots of practical activities and games. So far this half term, we have practised doubling, addition and subtraction, place value and this week odd and even numbers.
In Science we have been learning about our senses. Using a feely bag, we explored our sense of touch! The children found it hard not to peek! They realised that using only one sense was a challenge!
